Mayer & Cie. Global was part of Febratex 2026, together with MBR. The response of the Latin American market to the restart of the Mayer & Cie. brand was conistently. positive. Machines by Mayer & Cie. are perceived to be the best in the market.
Albstadt, August 2026 – Mayer & Cie. Global has shipped the first circular knitting machines manufactured under the company’s new organizational structure from its production site in Albstadt. At the end of July, a total of 18 machines left the factory in Tailfingen, marking the successful completion and shipment of the first full order produced by Mayer & Cie. Global.
Mayer & Cie. Global took part in the “Textile Region Neckar-Alb” event hosted by Groz-Beckert. Along with around 10 further exhibitors, we presented our company to more than 100 guests.
Mayer & Cie. Global has used ITM 2026 in Istanbul for its first major international appearance since the restart. Together with the Turkish representative Mayer Mümessillik, the company presented its premium circular knitting machines “Made in Germany”, explained its future positioning within the group of companies and held talks with customers and representatives from numerous markets.
W– ITM 2026 marks the beginning of a new chapter for Mayer & Cie. Global. For the first time, the company will present itself to the international textile machinery industry in its new setup: combining proven circular knitting technology engineered in Germany with a clear commitment to its Albstadt headquarters and an internationally shaped, agile management approach.
We look back on two busy and intense days at Techtextil 2026. Our small trade fair team—Xu Hongjie, the new owner of Mayer & Cie., and Oliver Bühler—took advantage of the international industry gathering in Frankfurt to meet many people in person.

Germany, April 16, 2026 – The future of the Mayer & Cie. brand has been secured: Following the successful completion of the purchase agreement for assets in the circular knitting machinery segment of the German traditional company Mayer & Cie., which was signed in February this year, the brand will continue to exist. The transfer of these assets to the new owner, Xu Hongjie, was formally completed yesterday afternoon. This clears the way for the resumption of business operations at the Albstadt site.
On 23 September 2025, Mayer & Cie., a manufacturer of circular knitting and braiding machines in Albstadt, filed an application for the opening of insolvency proceedings in self-administration at the Hechingen District Court.
