Sales start of Mayer & Cie.’s new machine control system: Control 5.0 makes circular knitting machines IoT-ready
The new machine control system Control 5.0 is now available. It makes from Mayer & Cie. circular knitting machines Internet- and knitlink-ready, preparing them for the digital future of textile production.
Control 5.0 is the prerequisite for accessing knitlink, Mayer & Cie.’s digital platform. The new machine control system is available as an upgrade kit for all machines built from 2001 onward. From now on, every newly delivered mechanical circular knitting machine will be equipped with Control 5.0 as standard. Electronic machines will follow in due time.

Braiding machine manufacturer presents new development: Mayer & Cie. distributes first braiding machine equipped with 48 carriers
The German braiding machine manufacturer Mayer & Cie. has been offering braiding machines with 48 carriers since this autumn. An MR-11 type braiding machine will be the first to be delivered with 48 carriers. It will leave the plant in Albstadt, Southern Germany, before Christmas. The first MR-15 equipped with 48 carriers is to follow in spring 2025. With the braiding machines with 48 carriers, customers benefit from larger inner tube diameters, short set-up times and unaltered coil volumes. This applies to both yarn and wire.
They run and run and run: Underwear manufacturer Gota knits with decades-old Mayer & Cie. machines
The machines that run at Gota in Albstadt-Tailfingen are many decades old. The fabric they produce is used, among other things, to make “Merz b. Schwanen” brand shirts, which have achieved cult status thanks to the “The Bear” series at the latest.
