First Circular Knitting Machines Leave the Albstadt Factory

Mayer & Cie. Global has shipped the first circular knitting machines manufactured under the company’s new organizational structure from its production site in Albstadt. At the end of July, a total of 18 machines left the factory in Tailfingen, marking the successful completion and shipment of the first full order produced by Mayer & Cie. Global.

The delivery marks an important milestone for the newly established company. Just a few months earlier, in February 2026, what was believed to be the last Mayer & Cie. machine had left the assembly hall. Today, circular knitting machines are once again being manufactured in Albstadt and delivered to customers around the world – a major achievement for the company and its entire team.

Another shipment followed in early August: electronic circular knitting machines from the OVJA family were loaded into a sea freight container bound for Skytex in Mexico. The family-owned, vertically integrated textile company has been a Mayer & Cie. customer for decades and continues to rely on circular knitting technology from Albstadt.

These first deliveries represent both the operational restart of Mayer & Cie. Global and the continuity of long-standing international customer relationships. Under the leadership of Alton Xu, the company is building on Mayer & Cie.’s global presence and technological expertise.

Further machines are already in production. Mayer & Cie. Global is continuing the manufacture and worldwide distribution of circular knitting machines from Albstadt. Looking ahead, the company is placing an even stronger focus on the solutions its technology enables – in other words, on the fabrics its customers produce. Mayer & Cie. sees its circular knitting machines as tools that help customers achieve long-term business success.
