Circular knitted goods in fine gauges are used in sportswear, home wear as well as in underwear and lingerie. They are just as trendy as they are challenging in terms of production. A high-quality fine-touch product requires an optimal combination of yarns, needles and circular knitting machines. Textile machine builder Mayer & Cie. has identified four key factors that affect the knitting process’ product. These are yarn selection and yarn feeding, stitch formation and takedown as well as winding. For each of these aspects, Mayer & Cie. has developed ideal individual settings leading to a fine and purposeful interplay.
At the VDMA Machinery Webtalk on 17 February 2021, Wolfgang Müller, Head of Sales and Marketing at Mayer & Cie. will talk about the challenges that fine-gauge circular knitting entails. He will also present an optimal fine-gauge set-up. In this session, there will be further experts from Groz-Beckert and Thies sharing their knowledge.
