Subsidiary: new production hall in the Czech Republic
Mayer & Cie. takes over circular knitting machine manufacturer Amtek Machinery in Vsetín and its 27 employees. In the Czech Republic, machine models of the S- and D-line are to be assembled along with selected components. Thus, Mayer & Cie. can finally reach its long-pursued manufacturing costs of the S- and D-line.

With a small team, the fair is mastered extremely successfully. The employees bring home orders from more than 200 machines.

A machine specifically designed for the Chinese market
The MSC 3.2, short for “Mayer Single China”, is finally a reality. It quickly becomes apparent that this is a wise decision. The MSC 3.2 is becoming so popular that space and capacity will soon become scarce. Production capacities will be expanded.

The new building of the Czech subsidiary Mayer & Cie. Czech Republic (MCZ) is ready. The Czech team now works on a spacious 5,000 square metres.

Relative technology celebrates its 30th birthday
Relative technology celebrates its 30th birthday. Since the launch of the Relanit machines in 1987, more than 10,000 machines equipped with this technology have found their way to the customer. The success story continues in the Relanit 3.2 HS.

Mayer & Cie. China delivers the 1000. machine mounted in Shanghai. It is the MSC 3.2 II, the top seller for the local market.

Production of braiding machines at Mayer & Cie. headquarters
Production of braiding machines for high-pressure hoses starts at the main plant. The division has moved to Albstadt from the American sister company Mayer Industries and is running very successfully there.
