True to this motto, we constantly take our machines and our technologies forward – and ourselves too. As an owner-managed family firm, we always focus on long-term, sustainable success. Mayer & Cie. is a market and technology leader in circular knitting. As a premium supplier, we serve the upper to midrange market segment. Our brand enjoys great trust worldwide because it stands for long-lasting, high-quality and reliable products. In 2019, more than 1,300 new circular knitting machines in all made their way to Mayer & Cie. customers in all five continents. Many of our customers have relied on Mayer & Cie. for decades; we have an estimated 2,000 to 3,000 regular customers. Our representatives in around 80 countries worldwide provide customer care. About 300 people turn up for work every day at the company’s headquarters in Albstadt-Tailfingen. The number of employees across the Group is around 400. Fluctuation is extremely low. 50 percent of Mayer & Cie. employees in Germany have been with the company for at least ten years and around 40 percent for 20 years and longer.
