Mayer & Cie. is the first anywhere in the world to make use of Perunal, a totally new material, in the production of segments. Perunal has previously been used primarily in the aviation and aerospace industries. With a good 20% share of the market (number of circular knitting machines), Mayer & Cie. exhibits as market leader at the ITMA '99 in Paris, presenting a whole range of new developments. New features included the first electronic machine with fully electronic individual needle selection in the dial and cylinder cam, and automatic dial cam setting using robot technology. The MCT Group turnover amounts to approximately 360 million EURO, with circular knitting machines accounting for appr. 50%. |
