Exclusivity in ultra-fine fabrics. On the circular knitting machine!
As fine as silk. As elastic as knitted fabric. With gauges as fine as E60 in single as well as E 44 in double jersey, Mayer & Cie. circular knitting machines have succeeded in achieving the "knitted silk effect". These top-grade fabrics provide the visual impression of woven fabrics, but their elasticity - also in conjunction with elastomer yarns - lend them an outstandingly pleasant feel and great wearing properties.
New markets for the circular knitting factory. Fabrics of this fine quality and elegance open up scope previously closed to the knitwear sector. Using top-grade cotton, viscose or polyester yarns (Ne 90-120), it is now possible to produce fabrics which are just as suitable for top-quality underwear, shirts and blouses as for exclusive outer wear.
Transparent in single jersey. Or ultra-fine two-sided surfaces in double jersey. Two successful circular knitting machines previously tried and tested up to gauges of E32 are now available for the extreme fine gauge ranges E60 respectively E44. For single jersey, this is the MV 4-3.2 II with four needle types and for double jersey the IG 3.2, an interlock machine featuring Quick Change for fast gauge changes |
