IKU stands – in German – for Climate and Environment Innovation Prize. The prestigious prize is awarded every other year by the Federal Environment Ministry (BMUB) and the Federation of German Industries (BDI). This year’s winner in the Environment-Friendly Technologies category is Mayer & Cie. We received the award for our spinitsystems spinning and knitting technology, which enables us to save ample space, energy and resources in the production of Single Jersey fabrics.

State Secretary Jochen Flasbarth presented the award to Sebastian Mayer of the Mayer & Cie. management and Michael A. Tuschak, manager in charge of spinitsystems marketing and sales, at the Federal Environment Ministry in Berlin.
