Succesfull Openhouse Exhibition in India!
Relanit 3.2 II – A top investment for knitting mills of all sizes. A further, and impressive proof for the universal application of the high performance Mayer & Cie. Relanit 3.2 II circular knitting machine was presented in Mai 2005 in Faridabad, a suburb of India’s capital New Deli.

Batliboi Ltd., the Mayer & Cie. agent in India, organized the open house exhibition at Todi Textile Industries Pvt. Ltd., a knitting mill with a daily production of 7,5 tons of circular knit single jersey fabric, striped fabric, interlock and fleece.

The fabric from Todi is utilized by renown companies such as Nike, Wallmart, J. C. Penny, Mango, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.

Along with the Relanit 3.2 II, which with cotton yarn in Ne 25 has a daily production of 750 kg, a Relanit 1.6 R single jersey striper machine and an Inovit 2.0 for rib and Interlock could be seen in production conditions. Customers of the Inovit 2.0 value the high production through 2 feeders per inch, and especially the versatility of the machine. This machine offers the possibility of knitting in synchronized and delayed timing, and allows up to 5 mm of delayed timing in rib production. In addition, many patterning possibilities in Interlock or rip are made possible by the 2 cam tracks.

After the eliminations of world wide quotas, India can expect a surge in demand from the USA as well as Europe. Mayer & Cie. will profit from this development as well through stronger orders from India. A reason for this is surely that, Mayer & Cie., through their agent Batliboi, can count on the support of the knitting specialist educated at that two PPP projects in Tirubur and Ichalkaranji, which they can mediate to customers along with machines. Since this possibility, which is unique to Mayer & Cie., was received so enthusiastically by customers, Batliboi decided last year to continue the originally government supported program (GTZ) in Tirupur on their own along with support from Mayer & Cie. This way, the Indian textile companies annually have 24 newly educated knitters at their disposition.
