Turkey is one of Mayer & Cie.’s (MCT) most important markets. That is why the company’s presentation at this year’s ITM, the International Textile Machinery fair, is quite extensive – and also because the fair has become known as “little ITMA” among experts. On its booth 805 A in hall 8, Mayer & Cie. is featuring a total of three machines for different fields of applications plus an info stand for spinitsystems. Along with its local representation Mayer Mümessillik, with whom the German manufacturer of circular knitting machines has successfully cooperated for several decades, the team awaits customers, potential clients and trade experts at ITM from April 14 to 17.
Two of the machines Mayer & Cie. will exhibit are tried and trusted machines. The Relanit 3.2 HS is the latest member of the Relanit family of machines. It is currently one of the most popular machines in the entire Mayer portfolio. This high-performance machine belongs to the most productive ones in the market; along with its speed, it is also the machine’s reliability, in particular when knitting elastomeric yarns, that convinces customers time and again. D4 2.2 II offers highest quality for rib, interlock and 8-lock-structures. Its international popularity is due to its many fields of application and exceptional fabric quality, among others.
The third machine at ITM will be an OVJA 2.4 EM, a newcomer to the MCT-portfolio. The company has developed this machine especially to meet current requirements of the mattress ticking market. With a speed of up to 25 rpm at 38 ‘’, it focusses on maximising output of standard mattress cover fabrics while at the same time offering a wide range of designs. One reason for its design flexibility is the machine’s single needle selection. Wolfgang Müller, head of marketing and sales at Mayer & Cie. comments on the new machine: “With our OVJA 2.4 EM, we present a highly productive, easy-to-handle machine that promises to meet the requirements of Turkish Mayer & Cie. customers in respect of quality, productivity and profitability.”
Not as large as life but at least partly live will be spinitsystems’ presentation at ITM. At an info stand, the spinitsystems team will present the new spinning and knitting technology and explain its benefits to potential customers. Owing to the fact that Turkey is both home to a highly developed textile industry but also an important cotton producer, Mayer & Cie. sees potential for its technology there.
